Sri Mahakaleshwar Temple
Home to the Swayambhu (self-manifested) Jyotirlinga, a naturally occurring and self powering Jyotirlinga, unlike the other lingams & images that are ritually established and invested with the power of mantras (Vedic chants). Dedicated to Lord Shiva as Mahakal (tantric form), the lingam in the temple is smeared with hot ash from the cremation grounds, symbolizing the symbol of life & death in conjunction with the Hindu mythology.
Ram Mandir Ghat
This scared ghat on the holy River Kshipra is the venue for the famous Kumbh Mela, a religious fair held every 12 years in one of the four sacred cities in India. Kaliadeh Palace
This royal seat of Sultan of Mundu, built in 1458 on an island in River Kshipra, is a fine specimen of Persian architecture. It is believed that this palace was built over a Hindu Sun Temple, the carvings of which still exist on the bridge to the island.

Jantar Mantar, Ujjain
